~ @Choice Band
~ Blaze
~ Naughty/Lonely
~ EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 SAtk/ 252 Spd
---------------------------------------
~ Focus Punch
~ Rock Slide
~ Fire Blast/Overheat
~ Sky Uppercut/Brick Break

Professor Oak's favourite Pokemon. This Choice Band set is quite rare, with the majority of Blaziken sets being Reversal sets. However, 372 Attack boosted by a Choice Band is definately nothing to sneeze at. Focus Punch is the main attack here, as Blaziken lacks the Speed to maintain a sweep usually. Nevertheless, it hits anything that isn't a Ghost type hard as it comes in. Rock Slide is there to hit Fliers and Ghosts for more damage than Focus Punch would. Sky Uppercut is the reliable STAB move, used for late game sweeping. Brick Break can be used for the slight accuracy increase at the cost of 10 Base Power.
The STAB Fire move is the move that seperates Blaziken from the other Fighting types who may do a Choice Band set better than him. This helps him to counter some of the Pokemon that would usually better a Choice Banded Fighting type. All of the Fire moves will OHKO Forretress, with Fire Blast being able to OHKO the standard Skarmory. Fire Blast will also 2KO the standard Weezing. The choice between the moves is simple: repeated hits or a more powerful first hit. Flamethrower lacks the power to 2KO Weezing, and that is why it is not listed.
It should also be noted that Overheat has a large chance to OHKO Weezing once Blaze is activated, and with a small investment in Special Attack, it will always OHKO.

~ @Leftovers
~ Pure Power
~ Adamant/Jolly
~ EVs: 4 hp/ 252 atk/ 252 spd
--------------------------------------
~ Focus Punch
~ Psychic
~ Shadow Ball
~ Substitute

The trick is to substitute up as an enemy tries to status you (as long as you're quicker than them), and give them a full power Focus Punch! Focus Punch can 2hko Skarmory, so don't switch out on it. Psychic is recomended as it can 2hko Weezing if you have sub up, which is pretty nifty.

Choice Band Medicham (Added by Professor Oak)
~ #308 Medicham
~ @ Choice Band
~ Pure Power
~ Adamant
~ EVs: 4 hp/ 252 atk/ 252 spd
--------------------------------------
~ Brick Break / Hi Jump Kick
~ Rock Slide
~ Shadow Ball
~ Focus Punch / Fake Out / Hidden Power [Bug]

The hardest hitter in the game not named Deoxys-F. The Fighting/Ghost combination is unresisted, and Rock Slide helps Medicham to counter Flying types. Any other option could go in the final slot, but the best options were listed in order of preference. Choice Band Focus Punch can cause all non-Ghost Fighting type-counters problems, dealing a OHKO to some Skarmory and Forretress and doing about 50 and 60% to Weezing and Salamence respectively. It's THAT powerful. Fake Out alone hurts a lot of Pokemon. It helps to stop the Endure/Reversal strategy, and it can get a quick KO on many Pokemon. It notably does 50% damage to most Jolteon. Hidden Power [Bug] is the most commonly used variety of Hidden Power, but using it solely for Celebi is redundant when it will be dead in 2 hits from Shadow Ball.

Agility Zapdos (Added by Tokeno)

~ #145 Zapdos
~ @Leftovers
~ Pressure
~ Modest
~ EVs: 252 hp/ 252 spA/ 4 Spe
---------------------------------------
~ Hidden Power Ice/ Hidden Power Grass
~ Thunderbolt
~ Metal Sound
~ Agility

This is a good sweeping set that I use for Zapdos. The strategy is to set up an agility on something that either can't hurt you or will switch out. Then, when they bring in Snorlax/Blissey, you use Metal Sound on them 1-2 times (I reccomend a Heal Beller or Aromatherapist on the team to heal status if Blissey has Thunder Wave) and you should be able to KO it unless they get Parahax or something. Then when their Zapdos counter is dead, you have a shining oppurtunity to sweep as long as you aren't paralyzed. The choice between Hidden Power Grass and Hidden Power Ice depends on your team. With HP Ice this set goes well with Celebi to counter Swampert and senc a few Calm Minds to Zapdos. If you're running HP Grass you should run Swampert Suicune or Milotic with this set.

You may have noticed I added a Zapdos set above for an example of what a set here should look like.

Smogon tiers fail miserably.

Oak's tiers are better. Obviously.

Seriously. It's still being worked on as I type.

Oh, and you need to make me a moderator for this forum, else I can't delete useless posts.

In other news:

I suggest you write any Hidden Powers in the following format in the sets:
Hidden Power [TYPE].

Also, for typing EVs, make it HP/Atk/Def/SAtk/SDef/Spd.

It's what NB uses, so I'm just saying it'll be easier, and will prevent people from just stealing things from Smogon.

Penultimately, that set fails imo. Spikes most be on their side of the field for that strategy to threaten properly, else they can just switch out easily. It fails to take down Regice, who is immune to stat drops. Blissey and Snorlax still won't really be bothered by this set, as Ice Beam/status/Seismic Toss and STAB Normal attacks will eventually wear down this Zapdos.

Finally, a set from Oak.
